Researchers at Duke University did a study of adult male rhesus monkeys looking at monkey porn.
They sat four male monkeys in front of computer screens and rewarded them with juice whenever they shifted their gaze from one image to another.
Male monkeys “paid” from their juice allowance in order to view female monkey hindquarters, or high-ranking female monkeys’ faces. However, they required “overpayment” if required to view low-ranking monkeys’ faces.
Not so different from us after all?
